National Recycling Week - Exploring Sustainability Through Creative Expression

This unit outlines an art lesson plan for students in Years 9 and 10 that focuses on creating artwork using recyclable materials and exploring the relationship between art and the environment. The lesson plan includes responding to existing works of art that use rubbish as a medium, creating artworks using "clean" rubbish, and choreographing and performing a dance or mime in response to a sustainability-themed song. The lesson plan has been developed as part of the Schools Recycle Right Challenge for Planet Ark's National Recycling Week.
