Fighting Extinction - Exploring Animal Ethics in Zoos

This unit is designed to guide students in exploring animal ethics and welfare in contemporary zoos. It includes lessons on understanding zoos, investigating their practices, and exploring conservation programs. Students will have the opportunity to plan a trip to a zoo and design animal enclosures. The lessons are developed in partnership with Zoos Victoria, and students will learn about their mission to fight extinction and support wildlife conservation.
