Australasian Recycling Label

This is a sequence of lessons developed by Planet Ark to teach students about the Australasian Recycling Label (ARL) and how individuals can make a positive impact on the environment by changing their recycling behavior and consumer habits. The lessons cover topics such as the waste hierarchy, the 2025 goal of having 100% recyclable, re-usable or compostable packaging, and creating a marketing campaign to promote the ARL. The lessons are intended as a capstone assessment and a great opportunity for students to undertake social action and influence their school and wider community. These lessons have been developed as part of Planet Ark’s campaign around the Australasian Recycling Label and sustainable packaging. You can get involved during Planet Ark’s National Recycling Week or at any time during the school year and join thousands of amazing teachers in making a difference and creating positive environmental change.
