This unit for Years 5 - 10, Watching the Film, has been designed to
- immerse students in the concepts covered in the documentary film 2040
- prepare students for viewing the film through engaging pre-viewing activities
- help students understand different perspectives on the future
- develop research and collaborative skills through group activities
- encourage critical thinking about solutions to global environmental and social challenges
- inspire positive action based on existing solutions to climate change.
The 2040 documentary demonstrates that solutions to climate change already exist—we just need to take action to bring them into the mainstream. These lessons will support your students in turning this knowledge into positive action for a better future.
